Student Book Reviews
This section is available for student book reviews. In order to submit a book
review, you must first read the book and pass the AR test. Please see a
librarian or library assistant for a book review form. After reviews are proofread
they will be returned for corrections. Remember these will be published
on the Internet, so you need to do your best work. Because of volume
only selected reviews will be posted on the library website each month. Good luck!

The City of Ember
By: Jeanne DuPrau
This is a suspenseful science fiction story with secret doors and messages that lead
the main characters, Doon and Lina, on a quest to save the underground city in which they live. I would
recommmend this book because it fastpaced and exciting. It is about a 5th grade level and is worth 9 AR points.

The Watsons go to Birmingham-1963
By: Christopher Paul Curtis
This is a great book and one of my favorites. It is a funny story about a family in 1963 that go to visit their
Grandma in Birmingham, Alabama. There are some sad parts, but it's a
book that kids like and one you'll probably always remember. Try it; I think you'll like it.
