December Highlights

 

Students and parents are encouraged to look at attendance and second semester schedules on the Campus Portal. Any absence issues that require a phone call or doctor’s note needs to be taken care of before Monday, Dec. 11 so that the Opt- Out -of Finals list may be created. No attendance will be changed after Dec. 11. It is the student’s responsibility to be vigilant about his/her attendance.

 

Students are encouraged to look at their second semester schedule to see if any legitimate changes are required. Legitimate changes would include correcting a mistake (duplicate classes, a class that has already been passed, etc.). No changes for teacher preference nor in core classes will be allowed. Elective classes may be changed as room allows. Please do not print these schedules yet as administrative changes may take place.  Schedules will not be finalized until Dec. 15. All schedule change requests need to be made before Dec. 15.

 

These dates will be used:

 

Monday, Dec. 11:

All first semester attendance issues must be taken care of with Mrs. Lanning. No changes will be allowed after this date.

 

Friday, Dec. 15:

The Opt-Out-Of Finals list will be published. No changes allowed.

Last day to change second semester schedules in the Guidance Office.

 

Monday, Dec. 18:

Second semester schedules will be handed out during advisory.

 

Finals:

Wednesday, Dec. 20:

blocks 5, 6, 7, 8

 

Thursday, Dec.  21:

blocks 1, 2, 3, 4

 

All teachers are expected to give a culminating activity during class periods on designated finals days. Students are to remain in the classroom the entire class period.

 

School is dismissed at 3:00 on Thursday, Dec. 21 for winter break.

 

School resumes on Thursday, Jan. 4 with Gold day classes.
