Mrs. Betty Gregory served as a librarian at USD 445 schools for 32 years. In 2010, Mrs. Gregory unexpectedly passed away. On June 23, 2011, the Coffeyville School Board approved renaming the Roosevelt Middle School library in honor of Mrs. Gregory for her years of service to the district. On August 22, 2011, the Betty Gregory Memorial library was dedicated with a plaque created by Tim Heflin, Industrial Technology instructor, and Trey Thomas, former Roosevelt student.
