Information About My Classes

Pre-Professional Careers Classes are each block of every day. Many seniors get the opportunity to observe in the area that they wish to pursue later in life. Many students observe at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, the new Community Elementary School, local dental offices, just to name a few.

American History studies recent history starting with the reconstruction after the Civil War. We try to get into current history if time permits.

Information About Me

I am the proud mother of three boys, Jackson is in 3rd grade, Rhett is in 1rst Grade, and Trey was one in January (our little New Years Baby!). My husband, Craig, is a Social Studies teacher and athletic trainer at Caney Valley Junior-Senior High School, so we stay busy!

We are active in the Caney United Methodist Church, and in the Fawn Creek 4-H Club. Outside of school I enjoy reading, cross-stitch, photography, and playing with my sons. We also like to attend Kansas State University football games if time permits! This summer we  completed our new home, just outside of Coffeyville. We moved in the first week of August after living in a camper all summer (with three boys—NOT FUN!).

I was born and raised in Independence, Kansas, received an Associate of Arts degree at Independence Community College before transferring to Pittsburg State University to major in History with a minor in English. Since then I have completed a masters in Educational Leadership through Pitt State, Go Gorillas!

This is my seventh year to work at Field Kindley High School, I have also taught at Independence High School. I am also the Student Council advisor for the FKHS and a member of the Building Leadership Team.
