Clickers: These may look like typical remote controls but they engage every student in a classroom activity by allowing students to remain annonymous to their peers. The teacher sees the results which enables he/she to fully recognize whether or not the students are comprehending the information. Read more about how the clickers are used at USD 445. Global Positioning Units: These may be checked out through the Field Kindley Library. Click here to see the Roosevelt Middle School Teachers learning about Geocaching. Palm Pilots: Roosevelt Middle School utilizes this technology within the Student Technology Leadership Program. Computer Labs: All of the schools have computer labs available for teachers to use with their classes. They must be scheduled in advance. LCD Projectors: Many classrooms are equipped with projectors. Each building also has portable projectors for teacher checkout as needed. SmartBoards: Available in each building. Video cameras and digital cameras: Each building has this equipment available as well as photo and video editing software. Wireless Keyboards: Some teachers utilize these in order to gain more mobility in the classroom during presentations. We utilize Microsoft Office products. Students are trained to use Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint in many of their classes. |
