Later I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Emporia State. I started my educational career in Butler Missouri were I taught science and coached wrestling and track. After two years at Butler my family and I moved back to Coffeyville to be closer to family. In 1998 I started teaching at Field Kindley High school and also coached wrestling, track and football. In 2005 I moved to Caney so my wife and I could teach in the same district. I also taught science and coached wrestling and track. In 2013 I came back to Coffeyville to be the high school assistant principal and two years later became the current Lead Principal at the high school.

While in college I meet my wife Lora and we had two children Hunter and Colton. We are a family that enjoys sports specifically wrestling. We spent many years driving all over the county wrestling. Both of the boys were fortunate to have successful careers earning multiple state placing and state titles at both the kids and high school level. Spending time with my family, sports and enjoying the great outdoors rounds up my hobbies.

I attended elementary and high school in Labette County, graduating from LCHS in 2002.  I received my B.S. Ed in Physical Education from Pittsburg State University in 2010.  I received a Master’s Degree in ESOL Curriculum and Instruction from Newman University in 2015, and completed the Building Leadership Program through Newman University in 2016.

I enjoy spending time with my family, helping my Dad and brothers on our family’s farm, and watching, coaching, or playing various sports.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with great talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent.”

I grew up in Willard Missouri which is a small suburb just west of Springfield. I was actively involved with sports growing up playing football, basketball, and baseball. After graduating from high school, I attended Coffeyville Community College and played one year of college baseball. I then transferred back home and finished my last three years playing baseball at Evangel University in Springfield.

My degrees include a B.S. in Physical Education from Evangel University and also a M.S. in Educational Administration from Evangel University. I then decided to pursue my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership which I obtained in December 2017 from Lindenwood University in St. Charles Missouri.  Before becoming an administrator at Field Kindley High School, I taught and coached for five years in Missouri. My teaching background includes diverse areas ranging from physical education, construction and manufacturing, STEM courses, and yearbook. I also have experience being a head baseball coach along with being an assistant basketball and football coach.

I am married to my beautiful wife Bethany. She is currently a stay at home mom but has a M.S. in clinical counseling. She has worked for a not-for-profit counseling clinic in Springfield focusing on young kids that have experienced diverse forms of trauma. We have two boys Greyson who is 5 months old and Cole who is just over 2 years old. As a family we love spending time together and being active outside. We are all excited and thankful to be apart of Nado Nation and apart of the Coffeyville community.
